   Look, I get that it seems like a mildly over engineered 3D printed plastic plate. But it works PERFECTLY. My cat had been climbing into the robot and watching it cycle and, most problematic, swatting at and playing with his poop as it dropped in. He was actually fishing it out as it fell and tossing it around the room. The shield COMPLETELY stops this behavior and leaves enough room for even my big boy to get in and out. Worth every penny, and if they ever upgrade and sell an injection molded version or something I’ll upgrade.

   Before I bought this I had to set up an elaborate fencing system to keep the dogs out, yet allowed the cat in, which made it a real pain to change out the waste bags. I dreaded the “drawer is full” notifiers on my phone. This has been a game changer. The cat is happy and my German Shepherds aren’t trying to attempt litter box grazing any more. I’m really glad I got it. It fits the opening perfectly. It takes less than 3 seconds to remove or “install” — install is in quotes because it’s literally just snapping it on. It’s kinda genius.
