Half Guard for the Litter-Robot 4!

Our Guard for the LR4 attaches to the included fence securely with clear adhesive so that even with vigorous pawing it stays in place.
Guard helps with getting your kitty fully into the LR4 to stop them from hanging their bum’s over the edge of the LR and pooing or peeing outside of the LR4.
Helps with stopping litter tracking by slowing your cat’s departure from the LR and making them step on the step to help brush off litter from paws.
Helps stop your kitty from digging litter out of the LR on to the floor.
Available in three color, Crystal Clear, Glossy/Matte White or Glossy Matte Black to perfectly match your LR4!
Height is approximately 4″ in the center

It’s finally here, the LR Things Half Guard for the Litter-Robot 4! Available in three colors, Crystal Clear, Glossy/Matte Black and Glossy/Matte White to perfectly match your LR4. Our solution to the diggers and the kitties that don’t know to get their bums all the way inside the LR uses the fence that is included with your LR4 to securely attach our LR4 Guard to the front rim of the Litter-Robot. Watch our quick intro video to see it in action! Everything you need for a quick install is included with every order.

INSTALLATION NOTE: For White & Black: You will need to decide if you want the glossy side or the matte side to show when you are attaching your Guard to the fence and you will not be able to change it later unless you want to remove the adhesive.

I wish this would have worked for me…

I gave it 3 stars because it does help keep the litter in a bit better but it does nothing for my cat who starts peeing while sitting and then slowly stands up as she pees which then goes straight out the front of the litter robot and onto the floor. I need one that is higher and thicker on both sides. I did put it off to the side which helps with that side but then she just goes in at a different angle and pees out the other side! She just won’t turn around. My cat is broken. I almost need two, one for each side but I can’t afford another. I don’t know what to do at this point.

Bit pricey but works so far!

We have 2 cats and one seems to not go fully into the Litter Robot, and would leave its business on the lip of the machine. I installed the half guard a few days ago now and have been checking it every day to see the effect. So far, everything is staying inside the box as I had hoped. Crossing my fingers that this continues to be the case.

Installation was easy, and it looks high quality. Just a bit pricey but it will be worth it if it works.

I bought this for my cat who has a bad habit of peeing right on the front edge of the litter box and litter robot. This guard has helped signal to her to go a little further in since her tail hits the guard. It doesn’t stop every instance of her peeing out the front, but it has reduced drastically and there is less volume of pee escaping. I even set up a blink camera that faces the litter box and I can see the evidence that she does go further in the box.
I was concerned that the guard would be too high for my elderly cat, but she was able to get in about the same as she did before this guard. I did find a pet stairs on Amazon (Pet Gear brand) that fits really well with the LR4 and this guard, and that has helped too.
I do think there is room for improvement, however. I wish the top of the guard had an angled piece that could help direct urine towards the inside of the litter robot instead of letting it drop on the lip of the robot. I think this would help a good deal in keeping the urine inside.

I have one of those cats that refuses to turn around and stick their head out. Resulting in poop and urine getting on the fence and step. This has helped my cat keep his behind inside the robot to do his business.

Good idea and I wish it worked but it needs to be a couple of inches higher. My cat was not going all the way in when pooping so it was always on the steps. I added this hoping it would force him to go in and turn around but he still poops over it. Was able to add some tape to the top to make it a few inches taller and that fixes the problem but it looks bad and has to be replaced periodically. Still looking for a permanent solution!

I started getting a 'Movement in Drawer' error message on my LR4 and discovered my larger cat was peeing before he got fully into the chamber which was messing up the sensors. The error rendered it pretty much useless unless I kept it unplugged and cleaned it every time they used it. I installed the LR4 Fence with this attachment and haven't had an issue since! Worth every penny.

My cat loved to walk halfway in and pee on the step unknowingly. I went to litter robots website only to find the same fence, nothing higher. I came to this website from a post on reddit. Its been a gamechanger. Kitty now gets in all the way and turns around to pee. Very happy with this purchase. Installation took about 10 mins. Super easy. Very glad this product exists. Thank you LRThings!!!!!

Nice and easy to install the only thing i can see needs improvement is the adhesive it just doesn’t hold strong enough i had to use my go to in situations like this which is gorrilla glue and wide clamps to set it up for about five hours and wellah now super strong hold.

This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. My cat had a nasty habit of hanging her booty out of the front of her LR4 and peeing all over the step, or getting pee down in between the globe and the litter drawer. With this guard, she has to turn to the side and I haven’t had any more issues since.

The guard fits perfectly, and is super easy to install (it took me all of 20 minutes, including the wait time for the glue to set). I can’t recommend this product enough if you’re having similar issues.
