From FB user: "I thought I’d share my litter scatter containment system ;-). Those are regular articulated pet gates that I got for next to nothing at Homegoods/Marshals. The mats are the plastic kind you can get at the hardware store. I put the LR on a Lazy Susan so that I can easily rotate it toward me to pull the drawer out. (I use a door stopper to keep it from rotating when I don’t want it to.) The cats have to walk across these mats to get out of the litter area and we still do get some scatter but this method has cut it by about 98%

NOTE: I am linking to a SIMILAR product on Amazon as I couldn't find this exact pet gate on HomeGoods or Amazon's websites. If you have a local HomeGoods, T.J. Maxx or Marshall's I would suggest checking those out for better deals!

Not really a "hack" but it's a fun addition to your LR!

This video shows how I install/use bags with my LR3. I've been doing this for over a year on two different LR's and haven't had any issues. Only change is I now use EcoLeo compostable bags, but this will work with pretty much any 8 gallon bag (or even larger).

*** I am not sure these specific rubber bands will work! Please let me know if they don't! ***

From FB user: "Favorite hack: put a long rubber band in the drawer and hook it on the two hooks closest to the front that are meant to secure the bags. Then put the entire drawer in a kitchen garbage bag, and secure the edge between the stretched rubber band. Make sure you pat the bag down so it hugs the inside of the entire drawer. This holds more debris, keeps the drawer area cleaner, and takes seconds to change."
